Tell YouTrack what you're looking for using search queries such as for: me #unresolved or #critical updated: {this week}.

Use smart query completion in the search box to reduce typing (press Ctrl + SPACE to invoke the completion list at will).

Save searches and share them with other users to create an additional navigation layer.

Commands

To select several issues from the list, press Space at each of them.

Press any letter or Ctrl + Alt + J right in the list of issues to apply one or several commands to all selected issues.

Commands are very similar to search queries: for example, to change state of selected issues to "In Progress" and assign them to tag "Fix it today", type state: in Progress tag: Fix it today in the Command window.

Navigate
Navigation is easier with keyboard shortcuts:

Esc
switches focus between the search box and the list of issues.

UP/DOWN
arrow keys navigate up and down the list of issues.

LEFT/RIGHT
arrow keys help collapse/expand issue details, such as issue description and comments.

Enter
opens the highlighted issue in a separate page.

Create/Edit Issue

Press Alt + INSERT or click the New Issue button in the top menu to create new issue from within YouTrack.

Use bookmarklet to create an issue from any page in your browser, even without opening YouTrack. Drag Create Issue to the browser toolbar. For Internet Explorer users: add this link to your Favorites.
- Modify issue attributes right in the list of issues by clicking them and selecting new values.

Press F2 or double click an issue to switch to issue editing mode — without even leaving the list of issues!

Press Enter or click issue summary to open the issue in a new page.
